Procurement Policy
Governments and businesses go shopping too! And more and more they are realizing the impact their large-volume purchases can have on the environment. Over time, buying the cheapest supplies will impact any companies bottom line as well, as tipping fees and replacement costs add up. For this reason, Environmental Procurement Policies (EPPs, alternatively known as "Green Procurement" policies) have been developed. The Canadian Standards Association has developed one that is for sale on their web site, listed in the "Where to Buy" section below, but much more information on Green Purchasing is available on the web sites in the "Links" section as well.
